CEEE has a very good reputation. I have more resources and opportunities
than I would have in most other programs.
I was interested in combining experimental work with simulation
I thought, ‘This is what I want to do and it’s a really good
lab’,” he said. “If you’re really interested in thermal...
Initially, I think I want to go back into the industry for some amount
of time but, eventually, I would like to go back into academia...
Zhenning Li, Ph.D. 2019
In terms of knowledge and techniques, my programming skills have
improved significantly. I also feel that I am more efficient...
America is a great place to get a Ph.D, as well as travel and learn
about the country.
We get feedback from industry, so we know that we work on something
that can have tangible impact.
And like everyone else, I also wanted to learn from the best place
and the best people.
There is a lot of space for innovation and breakthrough in the field
of energy engineering.
Tao Cao, Ph.D. 2016
I was invited by the Department of Energy to participate in their
Energy Solar Decathlon...It was a great experience.
My favorite thing is setting up the experiment and testing it. I
really like working with my hands, which is another reason...
I learned about energy auditing and carbon footprint reduction by
working with University of Maryland facilities.
