The IIR-Gustav Lorentzen Conference is a globally important meeting where the latest progress in research and development of alternative natural refrigerants is discussed. We'll be meeting August 11–14 at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.
The conference contributes to bringing forward solutions compliant with the phasedown of HFCs prescribed by the Kigali amendment to the Montreal Protocol. We will explore innovations based on natural working fluids for applications within refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps and heat engines. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the University of Maryland’s state-of-the-art engineering labs, where researchers are developing the next generation of eco-friendly heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) technologies to help slow climate change.

Monday, August 12: Plenary and Technical Sessions, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (followed by optional Washington, D.C., excursions)
Tuesday, August 13: Plenary and Technical Sessions, 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Conference Banquet, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 14: Technical Sessions, 8:00 a.m.-12 noon; Tour of UMD Labs
