Career Fair Details for Employers

Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Employers are encouraged to arrive anytime after 11:00 a.m. to begin setting up. We ask that employers exit the venue no later than 4:00 p.m.

Lunch will be available starting at 12:00 noon.

Online registration is open for the 2026 HVAC&R and Heat Pumps Engineering Career Fair. Registration is free for all sponsors of the UMD Center for Environmental Energy Engineering. Registration payment information for all other employers is listed on the registration form. For additional registration information or to inquire about CEEE sponsorship, please contact Leanne Poteet at lpoteet@umd.edu. 

Participating employers will receive:

• a reserved 6' x 2.5' table, with a tablecloth, in the beautiful rotunda of the Jeong H. Kim Engineering building
• lunch for your recruiters 

If you have packages that you would like to have sent ahead of time, please contact Leanne Poteet for shipping instructions at lpoteet@umd.edu.  If you would like return shipping arranged, please bring return labels and shipping tape on the day of the event.  We are able to process return shipping for Career Fair packages.  Please allow 5 business days for packages to be processed.

• Visitor Parking is available in the Xfinity Center Visitor Lot (8468 Paint Branch Drive).  Current rates are $4 per hour, with a $20 daily maximum. From the parking lot, exit right onto Paint Branch Drive and continue along that road until you reach the Kim Engineering Building on your right (5-10 min walk).

If you are bringing boxes or displays, please see below for information about unloading items at the Kim Building prior to parking.

Directions to Xfinity Center Visitor Lot:
Option One – entering campus from University Boulevard (MD 193).  Turn onto Paint Branch Drive. Visitor Lot will be on right side.
 
Option Two – entering campus from Route 1/Baltimore Avenue. Turn onto Campus Drive. Stay in the right lane and take first right onto Paint Branch Drive. After crossing through three stop signs, the Visitor Lot will be on the left side.

If you are bringing supplies the day of the Career Fair, please use Engineering Drive between the Kim Building and Clark Hall to unload your items. Because this is a side street, early arrival is suggested to avoid congestion.  Please plan on a maximum of 10 minutes for unloading.  We suggest having two people when unloading supplies so that one can stay with your items while the other parks the car.

Employers can start setting up their tables in the Kim Building at 11 a.m.

If the university must close due to inclement weather, then all events, including this career fair, will be cancelled. For information about closures, please check the University of Maryland website or call 301.405.SNOW. If we need to cancel, we will contact you afterwards with more information.
