Join us on Friday, April 23 at 1pm (EDT) via Zoom for a Maryland Energy Innovation Earth Day Event
Focused on "Carbon Dioxide Removal - A Call to Action"
Join us for a lively discussion of technologies that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the ocean and permanently sequester carbon to slow and reverse the impacts of climate change. Speakers include:
- XPRIZE Foundation will discuss the new $100 Million Carbon Dioxide Removal Prize sponsored by Elon Musk. Learn more here: https://www.xprize.org/prizes/elonmusk
- A Federal program manager will discuss the evolution of funding in the CDR sector, the state of the art technologies currently participating in federally funded programs, and where this funding is going in terms of absolute spending and the types of projects that will be funded by the Biden administration.
- Faculty and student leaders who are working in CDR will present recent projects and technologies.
- A call to action for Maryland companies, researchers, faculty and students to work with the Maryland Energy Innovation Institute to form teams that will pursue the XPRIZE.
Time is of the essence.
